Tributes paid to Paul McCartney on his 80th birthday | 21 June 2022


Celebrities, fans, and friends of Paul McCartney have been paying tribute to the musician on his 80th birthday.

First off the blocks was his former bandmate in The Beatles, Ringo Starr:

The man Starr replaced in The Beatles, Pete Best, also wished McCartney a happy birthday.

The social media accounts for The Beatles, John Lennon, and George Harrison also got in on the act:

McCartney’s brother Mike wished Paul a “Happy Eighteenth”:

Members of McCartney’s band also posted birthday wishes:

Tributes were also made by members of the wider Beatles circle and associates, including Yoko Ono, Pattie Boyd, and biographer and historian Mark Lewisohn.

All three McCartney albums to be reissued in box sets
